Merry Christmas 🎄Everyone

Christmas 🎄 day is finally here!  I think I’ve been preparing for over a month now for this big day. I’ve been unusually busy this month because I was in charge of our church’s neighborhood Christmas dinner party 🎈. We served over 280 people warm ham and turkey 🦃 and funeral potatoes and green beans and rolls and salads. I ordered yummy 😋 BYU mint brownies and all their bars. I utilized some of my reliable friends to help with the decorating. I even hauled in my big Christmas 🎄 tree with lights. We invited a professional Santa 🎅🏻 to come. We had a poem followed by a brief program of two songs. It was the classiest neighborhood party I’d ever been to. Then the next day our stake put on “Carol to our King” concert with an orchestra and eight different choirs. I was asked to play all of organ for it. We even played Handle’s Messiah “The Hallelujah chorus”. It was grand. It just took me hours of practicing. No one realizes how much preparation it requires. Then six days later they asked me to accompany the ward choir for Christmas church. I was happy 😃 to participate but it still requires tons of practice. Now my family is in town for Christmas 🎄!  My son, Rob, just

flew in from Alabama after finishing his officer training in Montgomery, Alabama. Now he’s an official lieutenant for the United States 🇺🇸 airforce!  The Palmer’s came from Washington which was tough and go as my son in laws father is dying of a brain 🧠 tumor but they came!  The Hughes came over from Eagle 🦅 Mountain 🏔. The Clasby’s came over from Cedar Hills. We invited Santa 🎅🏻 to come over here and he came. We had a variety of homemade appetizers. We watched the new Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints nativity movie. We sang. Played the piano. We’re waiting for the Hull’s and Hatch’s

to arrival in a day. I finally got my prayers answered. We got snow ❄️!  I feel so grateful for the reason for the season....Jesus Christ...His birth...His resurrection...His atonement.
